The cynical optimist

Hey, just wanted to expand upon the previous blog post just a little bit. If you don’t know what I’m talking about you can find all that information here Saving Lives and Saving the Arts

As of writing this we are just 3 days away from the big Relay For Life Event and my team and I are trying to raise as much money as we can for the American Cancer Society.

Two things we have going right now are memorial playbills much like this one.

Playbills like this will have the name of a loved one who is either battling cancer or someone who has passed on from it, we then walk a lap in their honor and display it at our sight for everyone at our event to see.

If you donate to the team any amount, I think the minimum the site allows is $5 and contact me through my Twitter or in the comments with proof of donation, we can discuss what playbill you may want and whose name you want on it.

The other thing is, I am personally matching up to $300 dollars in donations total, up until the day of the event which is the 25th of this month…

I don’t know if this will be read by anybody, but if there is anyone that is reading this please seriously consider donating…the money is going to an amazing place, one that I believe in and have been volunteering for, for almost 10 years. But if money is tight and I’m sure it is for so many people please, if you come across this share it across your socials and help me get the word out. It would mean the world to me.

The team’s goal is set to $2500…we are currently a little under 1500 dollars away from reaching that goal. So again please, consider donating, consider helping out and if you can’t spread the word…let’s do something amazing together!
