The song at the start of this post is a song that has been in my family for countless years, and it came to us as a mistake. It has to be over a decade ago now, my mother was trying to find songs from Marc Broussard because she had fallen in love with one of his other songs and she happened to come across this one.
She was immediately blown away by the song and played it for me and I fell in love with it as well. It has sort of become a Good Friday tradition to play the song, think back on the years of happiness and joy the song has given us, and wonder where it came from.
Because here’s the deal. We can’t find it again.
We’ve googled the lyrics, we’ve Shazam’d it we’ve scoured the internet for any sort of hint as to what it could be, who is singing it anything at all and it doesn’t seem to exist…
So, I’m asking for your help.
If you know what song this is, please let me know! if you don’t, please spread this post far and wide and hopefully someone out there can help us. This song has meant so much to me and my family and I would love to let the person know that their song has been loved for years, even if they never felt it, even if they thought it didn’t matter. It has mattered to us.
And to all the artists out there who don’t feel heard, or seen, or that your years of dedication and work were for nothing, know that somebody out there has seen it, and has loved it, even if they haven’t found a way to tell you yet.
Keep creating.
Keeping inspiring
Keep hoping..
Never stop making art.
It is one of the most important things in the world.
